A sex crazed world

Online sex and pornography is rife and a bondage that draws both men and woman in slowly and subtly and as is the case with all bondage, eventually destroys the enslaved because it has deluded them into believing that nothing else can satisfy.

People, marriages, families are destroyed and the deluded person feels betrayed and cannot understand that he or she is in fact the betrayer.

Call it by its name, lust of the flesh and a sin in the eyes of God.  Being satisfied in any way other than in normal marital relations, is nothing less than adultery.

There is no other release from bondage, except by God.

The requirement to return to being a free person, released from this terrible, destructive bondage is a return to God with genuine repentance, not just remorse. Place God at the helm of your life and a daily wash in the Word of God will set you free.

May God help you find your way back to him before you self-destruct.

an ordinary day filled with extraordinary people

Just the beginning of an ordinary workday ... travelling to work early in the morning. It's raining and then the traffic comes to a sudden unexpected halt. Peering into the distance, I can see that a tree has fallen across the road blocking both traffic lanes.

A lovely young blonde girl and her passenger stops at the intersection where they want to join the traffic flow into Peter Road and together the two of them and another young man from another vehicle, join forces and remove the tree.

As I watch them working so selflessly, I know that they are truly servants of our Most High God and that today they have been a blessing to many, many unknown people.

It is still drizzling and the three have also been showered by water from the leaves on the branches of the tree - no easy task to remove it completely. Having completed the job, the two young people go back through the mud and slush to their car on Chestnut Road.

My heart swells with pride and as I say a prayer of thanks for these young folk, it starts to rain inside my car as the drops roll down from my eyes.

Thank you for again making me so proud to be part of this wonderful Nation, South Africa.

Remembering baby Adam

One day a little angel upstart
From heaven jumped
And landed
Slap bang right in my heart.

Guided by the light of the moon
Into the world
Came little Adam
So sadly - to depart too soon.

Listening to your sobbing breath
I whispered prayers
And messages from mommy
And spoke of love until your death.

After your brief sojourn
We bade you farewell
Our hearts racked with pain
Always our little angel to mourn.

GOD IS NOT SURPRISED

The irretrievable loss of credibility on the part of the Nobel Prize committee is indicative of the times; there is no more truth.

A prize is awarded to someone who has done nothing, in fact has not even participated in a process of peace, that for which the prize is offered!

Yet, one who has participated and has shed real blood, sweat and tears and by endurance despite pain, has started the process of peaceable change; is passed over. And so is the way of the world.

Two mortal enemies currently engaged in conflict, finding the time to unite and in chorus proclaim their surprise at this ridiculous situation, further illustrate the sheer stupidity of the selectors.

Take heart, Morgan, Nobel has lost its credibility but you haven’t. Persevere and keep striving for peace and great will be your reward. The world has never recognized sacrifice and truth and so with another who was persecuted and reviled, you are in good company.

The world may not recognize you but I for one laud you for the good values you consistently show and ultimately each of us will be judged according to the truth.

Nail your colours to the mast

Nail your colours to the mast & proclaim the Glory of the Lord.
Our God is being rejected and sacrificed on the altar of self; “because you’re worth it”. I know for a fact for a number of years now, that few dare speak the name of Jesus, or talk about God in England because of immediate repercussion and it has deteriorated to the point of legislation having been passed to the effect that such speak is offensive and punishable by law.
It is unfortunate that there is little unity amongst Christians and because of this the same thing will happen right here under our noses in South Africa – the wheels have already started turning. No need to remind anyone about the lukewarm prediction in Revelation?
Case in point would be the endless problems encountered by Radio Pulpit each year in just getting their license renewed by ICASA; not to even mention the point blank refusal to allow for any growth. Not so the case with secular radio stations and most certainly will not be the case when the ANCYL apply for their own radio station!!
Not one of us can claim ignorance because we have been warned….. 2 Tim 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy……
Throughout the Word, God clearly states that He does not need us to fight any battles for him, so this is not the issue here. However, we are to stand in awe of our God and we are to acknowledge him:
Luke 12:8 "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.
One sorely lacking quality amongst Christians is that of UNITY and if left unchecked, it will still lead to our downfall. Now since we are able to do something about that, let us stand together and demand our legal right to our religious freedom. In the words of Henry Ford: “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”
Now is the time for all real Christians to come out of the woodwork and declare our uncompromised support for the Lord our God and also the license application of Radio Pulpit.
Wake-up – get hot or get spat out.
Some plans of action:
Lodge emails:
To ICASA in support of a broadcasting licence & use of an AM transmitter for Radio Pulpit in the Western Cape info@icasa.org.za
Call up all fellow Christians to take a stand
Claim our freedom of religion by lodging complaints to the Presidential Hotline at the toll-free number 17737.
Write to the editors of newspapers and/or magazines and get the conversation going.
Approach talk show radio stations to do shows on the persecution of Christianity & partake in these or call in yourself and start the subject.

I prayerfully ask that God let each reader move into action as the Holy Spirit leads & guides each one of us.

Roebert family in prayer for you

I am overwhelmed by grief at the tragedy that has befallen another servant of God and I pray that God will clasp Peter and his children tightly in his arms and comfort them.

A tragedy such as this calls for some introspection and I stand guilty as charged that I do not pray more for my pastor and his family.

In the service of God, our pastors and shepherds come under so many attacks continually. Attacks from the evil one when they are doing a good job teaching the Word, winning souls for the Kingdom and sadly also from discontented members in their own congregation. It is a heavy burden to bear and more often than not, our leaders are very isolated.

No wonder then that such deep depression can set in that there seems to be no hope. I cannot even begin to reason or understand the workings of a mind in such a state and have to rely on the Word for comfort and a possible answer:

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

So since we do not know, let us also obey the Word and no man sit in judgement.

Finally, I beseech each one of you to hold up the arms of your church leaders daily. Bring them before God in prayer and giving thanks for them ask God to protect and shield them against the wiles of the evil one and bestow wisdom, mercy and grace on them for His ultimate Glory.

May God have mercy on us all.

Our Sustainer, Protector, Provider EVERYTHING

How often do we not make mental notes or plan escape routes and imagine emergency plans should we need it. I for one, often think, "well if anything happens, I can call my neighbour", or "if there's an intruder, the dog will bark".
However, this belies our faith in God because we do not trust Him enough. We are making our own plans in case He cannot come though for us.
Just today, 15 May 2008 the headline reads: Kroonstad - "Help! We're here. Just help us! Gina, where are you? Can't you see us?" I read about a couple who burnt to death in their home despite screams to their neighbour to help them. A tragedy indeed. The poor neighbour stood by helpless listening to the heart-rending appeals for help. Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying they should not have asked for help from the neighbour, I'm only saying that there are times when only God can and so we have to always put our full trust and faith in Him alone.
Let us learn from this tragedy so that their deaths are not in vain.
